About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Industry Association (HIA) as an Events and Partnership Manager .

As a fulltime role based in Newstead, QLD 4006, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of a diverse events program within Queensland, tasked with building strategic partnerships to drive the organisation's growth and member engagement.

What you'll be doing

Lead and deliver HIA's extensive calendar of industry-leading events, seminars and networking functions

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors and partners to ensure successful event delivery

Develop and deliver annual partnership and events budgets

Identify, secure and deliver new partnership opportunities to ensure continued profitable events

Identify cross promotional opportunities through partnership discussions and sell / upgrade partner agreements accordingly

Manage event logistics, marketing, budgeting and reporting to ensure exceptional event experiences for attendees

Provide strategic advice and recommendations to continuously improve the events program and enhance member value

Collaborate with internal teams to align events with broader organisational objectives and member needs

Represent HIA at key industry events and build the organisation's profile and reputation

Manage, coach, support and mentor the Queensland event staff, and external third party stakeholders

Work collaboratively with national event and other state managers and coordinators to improve processes and relationships, and to grow the HIA brand

What we're looking for

Solid experience in event management, preferably within the construction industry, property or industry association sector

Proven ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and secure valuable partnerships

Excellent project management, budgeting and reporting skills with a keen eye for detail

Experience hosting Award events would be advantageous

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders

Demonstrated creativity and innovation in event design and delivery

Enthusiasm for the property and construction industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional member experiences
