The Opportunity

We’re offering an exceptional opportunity for a final-year law student to gain hands-on legal experience in our high-performing Disputes & Insolvency team - with a pathway into a full-time Law Graduate position in 2026.

You’ll start in a part-time position (2–3 days per week) during your final year of study, then seamlessly move into a full-time graduate role within the same team.

This Melbourne-based, in-person role offers the chance to gain practical legal experience while completing your degree, with the benefit of a structured transition into full-time work, including dedicated one-on-one mentoring.

The Role

The role will involve working closely with our Disputes & Insolvency team to achieve excellent outcomes for our clients.

Key aspects of the role include:

conducting legal research;

preparing documents (e.g. affidavits);

preparing legal letters;

reviewing and summarising relevant material;

liaising with clients; and

preparing briefs to counsel.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

be in your final year of a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor (graduating end of 2025);

to have maintained a distinction average or higher for law subjects (70%+);

excellent verbal and written communication skills;

a genuine desire to pursue a career working in Disputes & Insolvency; and

a strong work ethic.
