About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cafe Supervisor to join our team at Mom Torquay's in Torquay, Victoria. As Cafe Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our busy cafe. This is a full-time position that will see you leading a team of passionate baristas and cafe staff to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and supporting a team of baristas and cafe staff to ensure excellent customer service
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cafe, including inventory management, cash handling, and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Developing and implementing procedures to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Rostering and scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage during peak periods
• Providing training and development opportunities for the cafe team
• Liaising with the management team to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in cash handling, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
