The Gaming System Replacement (GSR) Project is a key strategic initiative to replace Lotterywest’s existing gaming platforms and associated services. This is a large scale, multi-year program of work that will drive significant change across people, processes and technology. This is an exciting opportunity to join the GSR team and be part of a complex transformation project working collaboratively with a diverse and talented team of passionate people.

Key Focus Areas

Reporting to the Director, Core Systems. the Gaming System Lead is responsible for planning, overseeing, and delivering high-quality Central System technology solutions that support the evolving needs and strategic goals of the business. This includes leading the planning, development, and implementation of critical system enhancements, maintaining system integrity, and mitigating both technical and business risks. The role also emphasizes building strong partnerships with stakeholders and vendors to foster effective communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. A key aspect of the position is leading and developing a high-performing team, supporting their professional growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Applicants must submit a cover letter of no more than two (2) pages that clearly addresses each of these essential selection criteria to be considered for this position.

Proven experience delivering complex technology solutions—particularly real-time transaction processing systems—across full project lifecycles, from requirements to deployment.

Significant experience leading and managing the development of technical specifications to meet functional requirements, with strong capability in test planning, and identifying test cases from business and technical requirements

High level analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on resolving delivery challenges and aligning actions with strategic goals including the ability to identify, assess and mitigate technical and operational risks.
