The Opportunity

As our Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations and guide a team of educators to deliver a high-quality, play-based preschool program under the EYLF V2.0 and NSW Start Strong funding.

You’ll be a warm, visible leader — present on the floor to guide practice, cover breaks, mentor staff, and lead by example. You'll also play a critical role in building strong family relationships, conducting tours, and helping to grow enrolments.

This is a preschool program delivered within a Long Day Care setting, operating Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm all year round (excluding public holidays). The position is full-time, 38 hours per week, with shifts scheduled within these operating hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the educational program to align with EYLF V2.0 and the National Quality Standards (NQS)

Guide and mentor a team of educators, role modelling best practice

Actively engage on the floor with staff and children — supporting learning, play, and documentation

Foster genuine, trusting relationships with families and the local community

Welcome new families, conduct tours, and help secure enrolments

Manage staffing, resources, enrolments, and contribute to budgets and quality improvement plans

What We’re Looking For:

You live and breathe preschool education — your passion is contagious, and your enthusiasm lights up the room. You’re a confident leader with a warm, inclusive style who thrives in a hands-on environment and inspires others to do their best work.

You’ll also bring:

An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood teaching degree and current NESA registration

A least 2 years of experience as an ECT/Nominated Supervisor

Outstanding knowledge of EYLF V2.0, NQF, NQS, and relevant regulations.

Confidence conducting tours and building rapport with prospective families to drive enrolments.

Proven ability to lead, coach and inspire others while being hands-on in the classroom.

A professional yet warm and inclusive leadership style.

Current First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Child Protection training.
