Join a high-performing SEQ Capital Works team delivering significant building construction and upgrade projects for a respected State Government department. We are seeking experienced 3x Senior Project Manager to lead client-side project delivery from planning through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project management plans, incorporating procurement strategies, risk management, and lifecycle considerations.
- Prepare project briefs, consultancy scopes, tender documentation, and oversee procurement of consultants and contractors.
- Manage both Design & Construct and traditional contracts, acting as Principal’s Representative or Contract Superintendent.
- Ensure designs meet brief, compliance, and value-for-money objectives.
- Oversee commissioning, handover, and defect liability period, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Provide high-level stakeholder engagement, project reporting, and maintain accurate project records.
- Lead and mentor project teams, balancing competing priorities and ensuring project profitability.
About You:
- Proven client-side experience managing building construction/upgrade projects in comparable organisations.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in building construction or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement, contract law, and building industry practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
