Local Land Services (LLS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Land Services Officer – Mixed Farming to deliver vital on-ground programs and services to landholders, stakeholders, and communities.

  • Location: Deniliquin NSW (other Murray LLS office locations may be considered)
  • Ongoing, Full-time 38hrs per week
  • Advisory & Technical Grade 6 $ 113,574.00 - $ 125,720.00 + 12% super & leave

About the Role

As a Senior Land Services Officer in the agriculture production team at Murray LLS, you will be at the frontline of delivering agricultural productivity and extension services and integrated natural resource management, across your region. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality advice and support to landholders and stakeholders
  • Managing and delivering complex agricultural productivity projects from planning through to evaluation, including financial responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with industry and community groups
  • Working with external stakeholders and industry groups to collaborate & deliver priority technical workshops and programs for landholders
  • Working with LLS colleagues & agriculture production team members to identify and deliver programs specific and relevant to Murray LLS landholders
  • Where required, contributing to regional planning and emergency response initiatives
  • Where required, supporting and applying land and biodiversity legislation to deliver real outcomes on the ground

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong focus on sustainable land use, productivity, and community engagement.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A degree in agriculture, environmental science, natural resource management, biosecurity or emergency management – or equivalent industry experience
  • Technical knowledge & skills relating to agriculture production (may include but not limited to Farm Business, Livestock Management, Cropping/ Agronomy, Irrigation Layouts)
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in the field
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, including writing high-level reports and recommendations
  • A current NSW driver licence and willingness to travel across the region
