About the Role

As Team Leader, you’ll:

Lead and develop a local workforce to deliver high-quality, culturally respectful supports.

Oversee in-home, community, and skill-building activities.

Step in to deliver supports when required.

Coordinate resources and schedules to meet client needs.

Maintain strong working relationships with staff, clients, families, and community contacts.

Ensure compliance, reporting, and operational standards are met.

The role can be based in Aurukun, or worked on a fly-in fly-out basis from Cairns, or a drive-in drive-out basis from Weipa and surrounding areas.

You’ll spend at least two weeks a month in Aurukun, working alongside our team and community, and the rest of the time working from your home base.

What We’re Looking For

A genuine commitment to creating better outcomes for people with disability.

Experience working in remote First Nations communities.

Leadership skills to guide, support, and grow a team - and confidence to step in and deliver supports yourself when needed.

The ability to work independently, make decisions, and get things done in a dynamic environment.

Strong communication skills to connect with your team, clients, and families.

Report writing and basic IT skills.

Willingness to travel via light aircraft or on non-sealed roads when needed.

Relevant qualifications (Certificate III in Individual Support or similar) are an advantage but not essential if you have the right experience and attitude.
