About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team at S & S Shopfitting Concepts in Alberton Gold Coast, Queensland. This full-time role reports directly to the business owner and plays a key role in driving smooth and efficient office operations. Key responsibilities include:

Admin support: Manage day-to-day admin tasks and supporting our site and office teams

Payroll: Process and manage payroll via Xero and TSheets

Xero & Nexvia: Daily bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, process payments, accurately processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

System management: Maintain clean, up-to-date records in Nexvia and Xero

Contracts & ordering: Maintain contract documentation—oversee supplier orders

Time sheets (T Sheets) Review and manage staff timesheets

Office consumables & IT: Manage consumables and coordinate purchases

Apprentice paperwork: Handle documentation and award compliance for apprentices

Skills & Experience

What makes you a great fit:

Strong experience in Xero, payroll, banking, and general bookkeeping

Is confident in TSheets and Nexvia or similar systems (or quick and willing to learn)

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar accounts officer or accounts clerk role

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with financial data

Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
