At Elite Pumps and Fire Services we provide high quality fire protection services to greater Sydney and beyond in the fire safety industry.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced pump technician/maintenance fitter or diesel mechanic to join our growing company.

This role may also suit a sprinkler fitter that is looking to branch out in the industry.

Experience in servicing and maintaining fire pumps is essential.

Key responsibilities:

- conduct routine servicing, maintenance and servicing of fire pump sets, hydrants and fire sprinkler systems

- Fault find and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to fire pump sets

- Complete all relevant service reports and documentation accurately

- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance as per Australian standards and safety regulations

- Be able to work independently or as a team to deliver high quality workmanship

- Maintain an amiable relationship with clients by providing exceptional service and expert advise

- Carry out flow testing of fire hydrant and sprinkler systems

- Replacement of fire pump sets, upgrades and repair work

- Provide a scope of works and follow up on additional and new works

Successful applicant requirements:

- Holds a trade qualification in fitting or mechanical is desirable

- Has prior experience in the fire protection industry including mechanical fitting, pump maintenance, and fire protection systems, minimum 3 years

- Can work independently or within a team

- Has exceptional communication, problem solving and time management skills

- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to safety in all areas

- Must hold a valid Australian driver's license

- Job type - full time

- Hourly rate dependent on applicant's experience

- Company car, e-tag, fuel card and mobile phone allowance provided
