Working within a small team and reporting to the Manager, Injury Management, the Senior Advisor, Injury Management will:
Provide specialised injury management services for physical and psychological cases of a complex nature, utilising a biopsychosocial approach and in accordance with Queensland Corrective Service policies, procedures, industrial instruments and relevant legislation including the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003.
Apply expert knowledge and provide professional advice to stakeholders with a focus on best practice occupational injury management.
Build strategic capability through development and delivery of targeted injury management, rehabilitation and return to work strategies, programs, coaching and training.
Prepare and review briefings for Executive Management regarding complex decisions and develop documentation to assist with actions under relevant industrial instruments, including the Public Sector Act 2022.
Monitor, analyse and report on statistical data, including injury claims information, statutory and common law costs in developing strategies to address identified trends and collaborate with other QCS business units to achieve performance outcomes. Contribute to the development, coordination and maintenance of HSW programs including safety, health promotion, wellbeing and cultural awareness projects. While a degree or diploma in a health-related discipline is desirable, it is not essential.
