The department is seeking talented and driven people to support the policy development and delivery of enabling services for the department.
Multiple roles are available with a range of focus areas including:

- Procurement and Contract Management
- Property and Facilities Management
- Protocol and Executive Services
- Security
- Strategic Planning

The initial vacancies to be filled from this process are based in Canberra. This process may be used to fill roles in other locations in Australia and overseas.
Our ideal candidates
We’re looking for high-performing people with skills and experience relevant to the department’s enabling services operations. You will be highly organised and able to work with limited direction.
Our ideal candidates will:
- demonstrate an ability to manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve goals and anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations.
- have an in-depth understanding of applicable legislation and policy frameworks relevant to the role, and an ability to provide advice and make decisions based on sound subject matter knowledge.
- be willing and able to guide and support less experienced staff and build team capacity through coaching, providing performance feedback and encouraging career development.
- have a demonstrated ability to work under limited guidance, identify problems or issues and resolve them.
- demonstrate the ability to make decisions that involve complex operational, policy or project issues using good judgement and expertise.
- be a confident communicator with well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to target communications to diverse audiences.
- ability to quickly familiarise and become adept at using business applications, tools and new technology
