About Us
At Coast Smoke Alarms, we’re growing fast and looking for a Smoke Alarm Electrician to join our dynamic, friendly team. If you’re passionate about providing top-notch service and enjoy working independently, this role could be perfect for you! You’ll be responsible for smoke alarm maintenance and installations across the Sunshine Coast, up to Gympie, and down to North Brisbane.

Attractive Salary: Starting at $80,000 with an increase to $85,000 once you complete (or already have) your QTP qualification. Plus, we cover the course fees!

The Role
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Independence: You’ll enjoy working on your own, visiting multiple properties and client offices each day, with support from our fantastic admin team.
We pay above industry average because we believe in recognizing the challenges this role brings and rewarding those who excel in overcoming them. This isn’t heavy labour, but it’s a dynamic, fast-paced job that requires a unique set of skills.
What We’re Looking For:
Attention to Detail – You’ll take pride in getting the job done right, ensuring accuracy in job records, digital systems, and regulatory compliance.
Adaptability & Resilience – Schedules can change quickly due to access issues, cancellations, or unexpected faults. Flexibility is key, and our admin team is here to support you.
Technical Troubleshooting – Diagnosing and fixing faults on-site will require you to think on your feet and solve problems efficiently.
Physical Stamina – Be prepared to climb ladders, carry equipment, and spend your day driving to various properties.
Team Player – You’ll go above and beyond to ensure properties are fire-safe and assist your teammates when needed.
Self-Motivation & Communication – You’ll work independently but also need strong communication with your colleagues and the admin team to stay organized.
Customer-Focused – You’ll interact with property managers, owners, and tenants, so it’s essential to approach every interaction with professionalism and courtesy.
Composure Under Pressure – The ability to stay calm and professional, even in challenging or high-pressure situations.
Qualifications – You must have a valid QLD Electrical Licence and a Driver’s Licence.
