As we continue to grow, we’re seeking motivated, energetic and well-presented customer service facing individuals to become an integral part of our General Hire delivery team.

About the Role

We are looking for casual labourers to join our expanding General Hire Delivery Team. This is a client facing role involving the delivery, setup and collection of hire products at event sites across Melbourne.

You will be a key representative of Harry the Hirer onsite, so professionalism, respectful communication and customer service are essential.

As a General Labourer, your responsibilities will include:

Driving, delivering, and collecting hire stock between warehouse and event sites

Greet and interact with clients in a respectful and professional manner

Install, place, and set up event furniture and structures per layout plans or supervisor instructions

Packing and unpacking event stock

Maintain clean and well-presented equipment on delivery

Harry the Hirer is a 24/7 business when required, therefore nights and weekend work is to be expected.

About You

A current Australian Manual Driver’s Licence (essential) or valid international manual licence

Comfortable and capable of driving car licenced delivery vehicles in and around Melbourne CBD and Suburbs

Strong customer service and communication skills

A White Card (preferred but not essential)

Good physical fitness (heavy lifting required)

A reliable, punctual, and proactive attitude

Flexibility to work across varying hours, including early mornings, weekends, and evenings

Strong team player mentality and a high standard of presentation
