About the ROLE

Location: Brisbane, Adelaide OR Sydney

Initial 6 months Fixed-Term or Contract Role

The DevSecOps Engineer will design, code, test, and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) to develop secure, scalable, and compliant cloud and on-premises environments that support critical utilities infrastructure. Working within an agile team, the role focuses on maintaining operational reliability and ensuring security practices meet industry regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

Design, implement, and manage secure, resilient, and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Monitor system and network performance to ensure reliability and fault tolerance.

Design, build, deploy, and support cloud and data infrastructure, SCADA, IoT, or other utilities-specific systems.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to meet operational and compliance requirements.

Support development teams by implementing DevOps best practices and security tooling.

Apply change management and compliance controls to reduce risks.

About YOU

Essential:

Experience securing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)

Certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security, and/or CISSP.

5+ years’ experience with cloud technologies, preferably in utilities or critical infrastructure environments.

At least 1 year working in DevOps and automation, with a focus on security and compliance.

Ability to write moderately complex code in languages such as JavaScript.

Desirable:

Familiarity with utilities industry standards and compliance frameworks is a strong advantage.
