We are looking to engage a detailed and proactive Payroll Officer to cover a 12 month maternity cover, with possibility for extension.

This role is fulltime, SOR Based.

Reporting into the Payroll Team Lead, your responsibitlies will be:

• End to end processing company payroll (approximately 300-500)
• Maintenance of the payroll system
• Update and maintain accurate payroll records
• Liaise with staff and management on payroll related queries
• Maintain leave, sick and overtime reports
• Apply awards, agreements and contracts in relation to overtime and shift allowances
• Reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations
• Calculate and process termination calculations
• Process variations, increases and calculation of back pays
• Preparation and payment of superannuation, workcover and other payroll related deductions
• Process salary package and liaison with external salary packaging administrators
• Maintain administrative procedures and systems which enhance the delivery of services
• Identify opportunities for improving efficiencies, policies, procedures and practices and share these with the payroll team

The successful applicant will have

• Experience running payroll within a medium/large organisation
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills
• Ability to multi task and work within a fast faced environment
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
