About the role
As the After-Hours Coordinator (On-Call), you will be responsible for providing after-hours support on a rostered basis to employees involved in direct client service delivery. The After-Hours Coordinator (On-Call) will be based predominantly from Forensic Residential Services from 5pm to 11pm and will be on-call between 11pm and until the following business day during these rostered shifts. This role will work on a rotating roster consisting of approximately 10 shifts per calendar month, which will include weeknights, weekends and public holidays.
As the After-Hours Coordinator (On-Call), you will be responsible for providing support, guidance and advice to employees involved in delivering services to clients across our program areas, particularly Forensic Residential Services, Forensic Case Work Services, Alcohol and Other drug and Mental Health programs. You will have relevant experience in following policies and operating procedures, particularly with regards to incident management and you will possess capabilities in providing crisis support and debriefing, as part of any critical incident management response.
The After-Hours Coordinator (On-Call) will communicate with operational and senior leaders, particularly with regards to matters pertaining to employee and client safety after-hours and will be responsible for coordinating handovers with operational leaders, as required.
What we're looking for
- Minimum Bachelor level qualification in social work, criminology, psychology, community Services, Psychiatric Nursing or other related discipline.
- 5+ years sector experience with at least 2 years' experience in a leadership position (e.g. Team Leader or above).
- Experience in providing leadership to frontline employees, particularly with regards to clients with high risk and complex needs.
- Capacity to work responsibly, autonomously and flexibly.
- General understanding of risk assessment and risk management, as it relates to the work undertake by ACSO in delivering supports to clients.
- Experience in developing operating practices and procedures that assist with incident and/or crisis management.
- Extensive and demonstrable experience in engaging in collaborative practice.
- Experience in applying work health and safety policies and procedures, particularly with regards to the safety and well-being of employees.
- Experience in facilitating debriefing and structured case reviews.
- Demonstrated experience in proactively identifying leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in providing proactive, responsive and effective responses to direct service employees and clients in the community services sector.
