About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position based in Melbourne, VIC, working across a variety of industrial sites and systems. You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of automation and control systems, supporting a wide range of industries including manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure and more.

You’ll work closely with a team of experienced engineers and technicians, with opportunities to develop your skills and grow within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning automation systems

Supporting PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control hardware/software

Maintaining and calibrating field instruments and control panels

Conducting fault-finding and resolving breakdowns efficiently

Working to project deadlines while maintaining high safety standards

Key Systems You May Work With

Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi PLCs

SCADA systems (Ignition highly regarded)

VSDs, servos, sensors, and telemetry networks

Instrumentation and automation components

Industrial networks and control panels

About You

To be successful, you will have:

At least 3+ years’ experience in automation or industrial electrical work

Relevant electrical trade qualification and A-Grade Licence (VIC)

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, instrumentation, and control hardware

Great communication and teamwork abilities

Valid driver’s licence and White Card

Bonus Points For:

Ignition SCADA or high-level PLC programming

Experience in FMCG, process control or refrigeration systems

Willingness to travel occasionally for site work
