About the role
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Firstchance, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Specialist Educators, and Family Workers. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues and be supported by a skilled administration and finance team.
Your work will include:
Providing therapy to children aged 0–12 years and their families in community settings such as homes, early childhood centres, schools, parks, and pools.
Supporting children with a range of disabilities including autism, developmental delay, chromosomal disorders, and genetic conditions.
Conducting assessments and delivering contextualised strengths based interventions that promote participation, independence, and wellbeing.
Collaborating with families to set goals and celebrate achievements.
Based at Mayfield and supporting families in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens Region
Qualifications and experience
A Degree in Occupational Therapy
Current AHPRA registration
Working with Children Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
First Aid Certificate (including asthma and anaphylaxis)
A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
