Key Responsibilities

As the Estimator/Procurement Manager, your primary focus will be overseeing all procurement activities related to commercial aluminium window and door projects. A strong understanding of estimating and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings is highly valued, supporting accurate decision-making and coordination across teams.

You will be responsible for:

-Managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, inventory control, and supplier coordination

-Procuring aluminium systems (e.g. Capral, Alspec), hardware, glass, and accessories to meet project specifications

-Coordinating with subcontractors for specialised services such as powder coating and anodising

-Ensuring timely delivery of materials and services, aligning with project timelines and budgets

-Reviewing and matching purchase orders, invoices, and delivery dockets to maintain accurate records

-Monitoring procurement budgets, supply chain risks, and material availability

-Supporting the estimating team by interpreting architectural and shop drawings, providing insights on quantities, lead times, and alternatives

-Assisting in the preparation of material take-offs and cost estimates when required

-Collaborating with project managers, draftspersons, and stakeholders to align procurement strategies with project needs

-Maintaining comprehensive documentation and reporting for procurement and estimation functions

Highly Regarded Experience

-Proven experience in the aluminium windows and doors industry (essential)

-Proficiency with Logikal and/or Soft Tech V6 (highly regarded)

-Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

-Solid understanding of aluminium systems, glazing components, and hardware

-Familiarity with CAD software and estimating principles is an advantage

-Prior experience working with Capral or Alspec systems
