Nestled amongst the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges is Glengollan. Spanning approximately 12 acres in leafy Ferntree Gully in Melbourne’s outer east, the facility is close to Ferntree Gully and Boronia Railway Stations and has bus stops directly outside the property. It is an approximate 30 minute drive into the CBD via Eastlink.

We are part of a continuing care community, which includes over 130 retirement living units enabling our residents maintain their social connections with community and friends.

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our hard-working and friendly team here at Glengollan Village. Permanent Part time– 2 days per week Thursday & Friday – 8.00am to 4.00pm

About the role:

Responsibilities:

Provide general maintenance to both the aged care facility and retirement village

Minor repairs to building facilities and equipment

Great attention to detail and pride in the work is essential

Monitor a safe workplace and ensure OH&S policies and procedures are adhered to

Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are maintained and evidenced

Use a computer-based system for documentation

On-call for urgent jobs

Requirements:

Qualified in a trade or demonstrated experience in repair / maintenance work

A high level of initiative with an ability to work with limited direction.

Additional qualifications related to workplace safety or Occupational Health & Safety preferred.

A caring, responsible nature and the ability to provide the highest quality of care to our residents.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

COVID immunisation evidence mandatory.
