About the Role
In this part-time Disability Support Worker role, you’ll be offered a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight. We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate support workers to join our team in a 24-hour Supported Independent Living (SIL) home, providing meaningful 1:1 support to a customer. This role includes a mix of daytime and sleepover shifts, where you’ll play a key role in promoting the customer’s independence and supporting their overall physical and emotional wellbeing.

Role focuses on:
• Supporting mental health needs through prompting and reassurance
• Prompting and assisting with daily routines and personal care
• Promoting independence and confidence
• Accompanying customer to activities and appointments in the community
• Following a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan
• Contributing to customer wellbeing and maintaining accurate daily notes and documentation

What We’re Looking For
• Experience in the disability sector, ideally with mental health exposure
• Understanding and commitment to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles
• A genuine desire to support people to live independently and with dignity
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including sleepovers

Requirements
• Valid drivers licence (P2 or open class)
• Senior First Aid and CPR certificate
• NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card)
• QLD blue card (working with children check)
