Lead Product DesignerFull-time | Hybrid (Sydney)
About the Role We’re looking for a talented Product Designer to join a fast-growing SaaS scale-up on a mission to redefine how complex workflows are managed in enterprise environments. This is an opportunity to join a high-impact team at a pivotal stage of growth, designing for a platform with ambitious plans to expand globally and integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities.
You’ll have a key role in shaping the user experience across the product suite, solving challenging design problems, and driving improvements that make a measurable difference for thousands of users.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead major UI/UX improvements across the platform, with an immediate focus on redesigning our intake and matter management product, modernising workflows, and introducing a new design system.
- Conduct deep user research and discovery to build a more robust understanding of target user personas and embed this thinking in every design decision.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to conceptualise, prototype, and deliver experiences that delight users while driving business outcomes.
- Build and evolve a scalable design system, improving consistency and design quality across a large and complex product surface area.
- Influence not just execution but product direction, bringing user insights into roadmap conversations.
What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)
- A significant uplift in UI quality and design consistency across the platform.
- Improved team understanding of user personas, backed by strong discovery and research.
- A well-defined and adopted design system powering faster, higher-quality iterations.
- Strong design leadership in tackling historical product design debt, making workflows simpler and more intuitive.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in product design for SaaS, ideally within complex workflow or enterprise platforms.
- Strong UX strategy and UI execution skills, with experience running discovery and user testing.
- Proven track record of developing or scaling design systems.
- Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with component libraries like Storybook.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, influencing product direction as well as execution.
- Bonus: exposure to AI-powered products or front-end development.
Why This Role is Exciting
- Impact: The platform is undergoing a full UI/UX overhaul - your work will be highly visible and transformational.
- Growth: Opportunity to design new AI-powered features and help shape the future of a market-leading product.
- Culture: Join a small, high-performing, and ambitious team where design is valued at the leadership level.
- Flexibility & benefits: Competitive salary, equity options, hybrid work model, and strong investment in your professional development.
