About the Role
Direct Care Assistance (DCA) is seeking a motivated and experienced NDIS Rostering and Care Coordinator to join our Mulgrave-based team. This full-time, office-based role is central to our day-to-day operations, ensuring support workers are effectively rostered and participants receive consistent, high-quality care.
You will manage scheduling across Supported Independent Living (SIL), in-home, and community programs, while also overseeing and managing recruitment team, and some caseload of care coordination. This position suits someone with a strong understanding of NDIS operations, an eye for detail, and the ability to lead with both structure and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage shift scheduling for disability support workers across multiple service types
Monitor staff availability, participant needs, and adjust rosters in real-time to maintain coverage
Maintain accurate records of shifts, hours worked, and participant preferences
Respond to sick leave and unplanned absences by sourcing replacements promptly
Oversee and assist with recruitment and onboarding of support workers, including group interviews
Facilitate face-to-face inductions and performance manage workers as needed
Manage a small caseload of SIL and community participants, attending care team meetings and liaising with stakeholders
Resolve service issues and communicate updates to families, participants, and team members
Collaborate with other departments and assist in cross-functional projects when required
Qualifications and Requirements
Certificate IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or similar (essential)
Strong knowledge of NDIS framework and SIL Roster of Care
Experience in scheduling, care coordination, or workforce management within the disability sector
Proficiency in rostering software such as ShiftCare, or similar
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
