Senior Software Engineer
Serverless Node / TypeScript stack wtih GenAI-Enabled Product Development
Location: Sydney (Hybrid, 4 days in the city office)

About the Role
We are hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to join a high-performing product and engineering team focused on building internal tools and services that enable fast, data-driven decision-making at scale.

This is a hands-on development role suited to someone who enjoys shipping clean, reliable software while also exploring the benefits of AI to speed up workflows, support internal users, and drive automation.

You'll be working across a modern TypeScript-based stack, with opportunities to incorporate LLM-powered features, prompt-based logic, or agentic frameworks to reduce manual effort and extend tooling. While this is not an AI research role, we're looking for an engineer who understands how to use LLMs productively - both as a co-pilot and as part of the applications they build.
Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal tools, APIs and user-facing applications
• Build and ship full-stack applications using Node.js, TypeScript, React or Next.js
• Use LLM APIs and frameworks (e.g. OpenAI, LangChain) to embed intelligent workflows into products
• Develop lightweight internal agents to support functions like reporting, parsing, or summarisation
• Automate repetitive engineering or business tasks using AI-augmented pipelines
• Work closely with product managers, data teams and stakeholders to scope and build high-impact tools

Key Skills

• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks (React or Next.js)
• Experience building scalable, clean APIs and services
• Familiarity with OpenAI APIs or other LLM providers
• Interest in prompt engineering, agentic workflows or chaining AI logic into real applications
• Understanding of common AI integration patterns such as embeddings, retrieval (RAG), and summarisation
• Ability to work independently and iterate quickly based on business needs

Bonus Skills

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex or other AI orchestration frameworks
• Exposure to vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
• Experience building or maintaining internal developer tooling
• Prior exposure to operational, retail, or commercial analytics environments
