A leading insurance group is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to support the business in meeting its regulatory obligations and driving a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.

Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll be responsible for delivering compliance advice, developing and maintaining frameworks, and ensuring ongoing adherence to AFSL and industry regulations. This role will also lead compliance education initiatives and collaborate with key stakeholders to embed best practices throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a fit-for-purpose compliance strategy aligned with business goals.
• Monitor compliance with AFSL obligations and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide timely and practical compliance advice to internal stakeholders.
• Review and enhance policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Drive improvements and efficiencies across compliance processes using data and technology.
• Deliver training and awareness programs that foster a strong compliance culture.
• Contribute to risk and compliance reporting for senior committees and boards.
• Act as a subject matter expert in compliance-related projects and initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in compliance, risk, audit in insurance.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) regime.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a practical way.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant qualifications or professional memberships in compliance, risk, or audit are desirable.
