Solution Engineer - React, Azure, Prototyping
Location: Sydney (Hybrid, 4 days in office)
Salary: $150k base plus super, bonus, shares and benefits

About the Role
We are seeking a capable and curious Solution Engineer to join a small, fast-moving team focused on building practical tools that improve restaurant operations across a national network.

This is a delivery-focused role where you will design and build working solutions quickly and thoughtfully. You will work across modern tools to deliver internal products that support franchise owners, store managers, and operational staff. The work is varied, hands-on, and outcomes-driven.

This role suits a senior engineer who enjoys rapid development, prototyping, and iteration, and who wants to see the tools they build make a visible difference to how the business runs.

What You Will Be Doing

• Migrating workflows from Azure Logic Apps to streamlined Function Apps
• Developing small, focused front-end tools using React and TypeScript
• Using modern environments such as Cursor to move quickly without compromising structure
• Prototyping features and testing ideas efficiently with production-level discipline
• Building tools used by store managers, franchisees, and internal operational teams
• Working across both Azure and AWS depending on the hosting context
• Owning delivery from initial brief through to a working, deployed outcome

What We Are Looking For

• Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Strong experience with React for front-end delivery
• Experience with Azure Functions or a solid understanding of Logic Apps
• Ability to work independently and make sound architectural decisions in small builds
• A thoughtful approach to problem solving and interface design
• Comfortable working closely with product and operational teams
• Interest in improving workflows and internal tools through practical engineering

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with Cursor, Copilot, or similar developer tools
• Exposure to automation, low-code workflows, or lightweight chatbot frameworks
• Experience delivering small applications within larger enterprise systems
• Comfort working in environments that use both Azure and AWS
