Why is this a great opportunity:
We have a growing Administration team and are seeking a Student Support Officer to assist in the day to day operations of our business. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform daily administrative tasks to an exceptional standard, whilst working along-side our team of skilled professionals. We have State Funding Contracts in numerous states and this role will give you the opportunity to learn the intricacies of these contracts, gaining valuable experience. You will become part of a team that are located in various states, giving you the ability to utilise your excellent communication skills. Key Tasks for the role include:
Provide high-quality customer service and frontline support to students via phone, email and online platforms
Guide students through the enrolment process, eligibility checks and onboarding requirements
Assist with scheduling training, enrolment confirmations, training plans and course progress reporting and tracking.
Maintain accurate records in the student management system (SMS) and learning platforms
Liaise with trainers, assessors and employers to support student engagement and retention
Monitor student progress, flag issues and provide proactive follow-up and support
Respond to student queries regarding course requirements, assessments and support services
Contribute to the continuous improvement of student support systems and service delivery
Lodging State specific AVETMISS reports
About you:
Previous experience in student support, administration or customer service, preferably within an RTO or VET environment (min 2 years)
Previous experience in administering State Based Training Contracts and their compliance requirements (NSW Smart and Skilled highly regarded).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, empathetic approach.
High attention to detail, time management and organisational abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and student management systems (e.g. aXcelerate, VETtrak or similar)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Understanding of the needs of adult learners and apprentices/trainees in trade industries is highly desirable
