About your new role
This role will be responsible for supporting services and projects within the GIS and ArcGIS environments, providing specialized technical expertise, configuration, and end-user support. The position collaborates with a team of technical, informational, and functional analysts to deliver GIS solutions for both internal business users and, if needed, external clients.
We’re looking for people who have:
• Support business-specific projects related to Council’s ArcGIS and GIS environment, addressing key business process needs.
• Assist in delivering GIS-related solutions.
• Respond to technical and procedural questions from users throughout the organization, offering guidance on GIS-related inquiries.
• Ensure data and application accuracy and integrity through careful analysis and troubleshooting.
• Conduct analysis and support activities following established methodologies, standards, and processes.
• Provide technical advice to the business, recommending and implementing necessary solutions.
• Perform solution assessments and make recommendations.
• Assist in data integration and transformation efforts.
• Develop processes and GIS capabilities for spatial data capture and analysis.
• Knowledge into ArcGIS platform and solutions highly desirable
• Knowledge into FME automations highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Spatial Science Technology (Surveying) highly desirable
