Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Engineering Technician to support our engineering team in the development, testing, and industrialisation of Calumino Thermal Sensors (CTS). This role is critical in conducting tests of electronic systems, collecting, and analysing performance data, and assembling and integrating electronic circuitry to support the work of Electronics Engineers and Engineering Technologists.

Key Responsibilities

Electronic System Testing: Perform functional and performance tests on thermal sensor systems and subcomponents. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and verify compliance with specifications.

Data Collection & Analysis: Record and analyse test results to support design validation and product optimisation. Provide feedback to engineers based on empirical data.

Circuit Assembly & Integration: Assemble, modify, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and sensor modules. Support prototyping and integration of electro-optical components.

Support Product Development: Assist engineers in the development and refinement of sensor designs, including component selection and layout.

Manufacturing & Quality Support: Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production. Conduct quality assurance checks and support process improvements.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, design iterations, and technical specifications.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field is preferred, but candidates with relevant hands-on experience in electronics testing, assembly, and support will also be considered.

Practical experience in testing and assembling electronic systems, preferably in consumer electronics or sensor technologies.

Familiarity with electro-optical systems and precision instrumentation is a plus.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
