The Position
The position is located at Siding Spring Observatory (SSO), which is one of two key sites for the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA) in Australia. The site sits at the summit of Mt Woorut, NSW, and is set within the stunning National Heritage Listed Warrumbungle National Park, around 30 kilometres from the town of Coonabarabran, NSW.
The Electronics Technician will provide high-level technical support and advice with a particular focus on the fabrication, design, manufacture, modification, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of complex scientific equipment.
This role also involves working in confined spaces, working at heights, shift work and driving to and from sites. For further information, please refer to the attached Position Description and PEWER.
