At Mooloo Timber Co., we do things differently. Nestled in a boutique workshop, our mission is simple yet powerful — we give local trees a second life. We work with logs salvaged from backyards, farms, and local arborists, milling and drying each one on-site before transforming them into one-of-a-kind timber furniture and joinery that returns to the very homes or communities they came from.

As our business grows, we’re looking for a skilled timber joiner who shares our values and takes real pride in their work — someone who loves timber as much as we do, respects the character of every slab, and is committed to delivering high-quality, thoughtful craftsmanship in every project.

About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced joiner who’s confident working with solid timber and has crafted items like doors, benchtops, windows, tables, and other bespoke furniture.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team that values honesty, integrity, fun, family, and community — and we’re committed to creating a positive, supportive workplace where great people can do their best work.

What We Offer:

• Part-time or full-time position (flexible for the right person)

• $30–$40 per hour (depending on experience)

• Plus superannuation and leave entitlements

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

• Managing the workshop layout and coordinating project flow

• Designing and assembling structural timber components

• Delegating tasks to apprentices and general labourers

• Jointing, thicknessing, glue-ups, and precision finishing

• Assembling solid timber products including benchtops, doors, and custom joinery

• Experienced in working with solid timber

• Skilled in joinery techniques and workshop tools

• Passionate about timber, craftsmanship, and quality

• Committed to doing things properly, with care and attention to detail

• Enjoy working both independently and as part of a small team

• Positive, practical, and down-to-earth
