About the role

Lawnton Timbers' is seeking experienced, reliable and hardworking Timber Production Workers / Leading Hand to join our team in Lawnton, Queensland. This is a full-time role that will see you playing a key part in the production of timber .As a Leading Hand, you will also be responsible for supervising and supporting a small team of production workers.

What you'll be doing

Operate a range of machinery and equipment to cut, timber to meet production targets and quality standards

Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on production equipment

Inspect completed products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards

Coordinate and oversee the work of a small team of production workers

Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support as needed

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar timber or manufacturing production role

Proven ability to operate a range of woodworking machinery and power tools safely and effectively

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment

Ability to multitask, prioritise and work well under pressure

Forklift license and/or experience highly regarded
