About the role

Westside Timbers' is seeking an experienced Truss jig setter to join our manufacturing team in Toowoomba, Queensland. This full-time role will see you assist in manufacturing timber trusses on a jig and bench for the efficient production of high-quality trusses for our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

• Operate truss jig equipment to produce trusses according to specifications, manufactured to a high standard and on time.
• Strapping of truss packs.
• Picking and packing truss ancillary orders.
• Reading and interpreting shop drawings and other instructions.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a truss jig setter in a timber truss manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of truss design, engineering specifications and production processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Forklift license is preferred.
• There is an opportunity for a foreman role for the right person.
• Moderate level of fitness is required.
• Experience with Pryda system is preferred.
