What You Will Be Doing:
As the Senior Communications and Engagement Officer, you’ll report to the Head of Stakeholder Engagement and work within a skilled communications team. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing community engagement strategies, delivering best-practice communications advice, and fostering partnerships with industry, government, and the local community. Your work will align with the IAP2 framework and Council’s strategic goals.
What You Will Need:
Tertiary qualifications in Communications or a related field OR 5+ years of relevant experience.
IAP2 Certification in Engagement.
Experience developing and delivering strategic communications and engagement plans.
Strong written communication, consultation, and negotiation skills.
Experience supporting complex projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online engagement platforms (e.g. Engagement Hub, Engagement HQ).
Unrestricted C Class Manual Driver’s Licence.
Ability to pass a Police Check, Pre-employment Medical, and Drug & Alcohol Test.
