The Role
As our new Financial Accountant for Centurion Framing Systems, you will play a key role in helping the business meet its financial and strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the Group Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and analysis that will directly influence business performance and decision-making. You'll take ownership of core finance tasks while supporting the systems and controls that keep our growing operations running smoothly.
Your role will be diverse and challenging, with responsibilities including:
- Financial Reporting: Preparing a range of monthly financial reports, including company scorecards and management accounts, complete with variance analysis.
- AP & AR Oversight: Taking ownership of Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely processing, collections, and ledger accuracy.
- Tax & Compliance: Ensuring all statutory obligations are met and coordinating with external accountants on the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Leading the annual budgeting process and preparing cashflow or other forecasts as required.
- Process Improvement: Championing strong internal controls and proactively identifying opportunities to improve our systems and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Supporting colleagues across the finance team and contributing to a positive, high-performing work environment.
What You'll Bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification (or close to completion).
- 3 + years' experience in a similar financial accounting role.
- Exceptional technical accounting skills, including advanced Excel capabilities and proficiency with financial systems.
- A solid understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance.
- A high degree of analytical capability and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
