Teys Australia is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team at the meat processing plant. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance:

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on meat processing machinery and equipment.
• Overhaul and troubleshoot pumps and other components as required.
• Perform fault-finding on package machines.

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrate medium to strong hydraulic and pneumatic experience with a focus on fault-finding.
• Utilize welding skills in TIG, MIG, and ARC processes.
• Possess experience in overhauling pumps.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Hold a trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter.
• Previous experience in food processing plants under pressure conditions.
• Current driver's license.
• Further education in automation and robotics is highly regarded.

Work Environment:

• Work within a meat processing facility, with exposure to blood, noise, temperature variations, and production-related odors.

Working Hours and Benefits:

• Full-time position based on a lifestyle roster.
• Minimum 40 hours per week with reasonable overtime where applicable.
• Hourly rate ranging from $48.30 to $62.37 with a $1.21 tool allowance per hour.
• Lifestyle roster provides additional earning opportunities through overtime and cover shifts.
• 200 hours of annual leave allocated for employees on the lifestyle roster
