Occupational Therapist – Permanent Part-Time
$60/hr + 12% super | 25 hours per week | Hybrid NDIS Role | Above Award Pay
Location: Brisbane and surrounds (telehealth and community-based)
Employment type: Permanent part-time – 25 hours per week
Pay: $60/hour + 12% super
Perks: Supervision reimbursement, no KPIs, flexible schedule, leadership opportunity
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and self-directed Occupational Therapist to join our team in a 25-hour-a-week, permanent part-time role. This hybrid position offers a balance of community-based work and telehealth, supporting a diverse group of NDIS participants across psychosocial, physical, neurological, and comorbid conditions.
You’ll manage your own caseload and schedule and report directly to the company director. The role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys autonomy, values professional trust, and wants the flexibility to deliver meaningful supports without the pressure of productivity targets.
As a small and non-clinical organisation, we don’t have internal senior therapists to provide in-house clinical supervision. However, we recognise the importance of ongoing professional support and will reimburse the cost of external clinical supervision, within a reasonable and necessary framework.
Our focus is on quality over quantity. We value clinicians who work with integrity, initiative, and professionalism. For those looking to grow, there is an optional pathway into leadership or mentoring roles as your caseload expands.
What you’ll be doing
Provide therapeutic supports to NDIS participants both in the community and via telehealth
Complete Functional Capacity Assessments, assistive technology recommendations, and other NDIS-aligned reports
Manage your caseload, schedule, and clinical documentation independently
Liaise with participants, families, support coordinators, and other service providers
Maintain accurate and professional notes and records in line with NDIS Practice Standards
What we’re looking for
Qualified Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration
Minimum 1 year of NDIS-related experience
Confident with functional assessments, NDIS documentation, and clinical report writing
Familiarity with tools such as WHODAS, SIFRA, or FCA templates (or willingness to learn)
Strong written and verbal communication, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, National Police Check, and First Aid/CPR
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for community visits
Secure laptop and internet connection for telehealth and documentation
Access to regular external clinical supervision (reimbursed)
Why join us
$60/hour + 12% super — well above the Health Professionals Award
Permanent 25-hour week — no weekend or after-hours work required
No KPIs or productivity targets — we value quality and person-centred practice
Reimbursement for external clinical supervision
Optional leadership or mentoring opportunities as your caseload grows
Ongoing referrals provided through our network
Supportive team culture that respects independence and professionalism
Opportunities to participate in peer learning and development
