About the Role

We are a growing and innovative Therapy Practice that is keen to expand our Occupational Therapy team. We provide Occupational Therapy services across the lifespan from birth to older persons. Services include functional assessments, home modifications and equipment prescription, developmental daily living skills for people with physical, psychosocial and developmental disability, oedema and compression therapy. Caseloads will be negotiated within our growing team. We have a comprehensive supervision and support system in place and are keen to support your clinical development. We are happy to consider any level of experience.

We have a number of exciting opportunities on offer for salaried or contracted, part-time or full-time Occupational Therapists to provide assessment and intervention for people across the lifespan in a broad range of fields:

We are registered to provide services to people on National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS, Department of Veterans Affairs DVA, people under GP Management Plans and Team Care Arrangements or through private arrangements.

Our clients are seen within our clinics, in their homes, in schools and in the community and conduct outreach visits to various remote and regional communities.

About Us

Our therapy centre was started by our Managing Director and Principal Occupational Therapist Debbie Davies in 2017. We are a team of individuals who are passionate about providing quality services to our clients. We are based in the Ipswich Area although we are happy to travel. We currently employ Occupational Therapists as well as Support Coordinator and Allied Health Assistants. Our team has a depth of experience and range of knowledge. Our principal has over 30 years experience and she is joined by a number of very experienced clinicians to those with 1-2 years experience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide services to clients from a wide range of physical, cognitive, developmental, or mental health issues. Staff may be able to nominate the type of client and caseload they prefer to work with.

Conducting OT functional assessments (including SIL and SDA)

Assistive Technology/equipment and home modification assessments

Implementing Daily Living Skills training

Provide assessment reports and develop evidence-based intervention plans for each individual.

Provide individual and group therapy.

Work collaboratively with stakeholders including family, carers, schools, other service providers.

Comply with legislative and regulations of NDIS, Medicare or DVA requirements

Participate in Organisational meetings and supervision as defined in the OT Australia Professional Supervision Framework 2019

Comply with professional standards in line with OT Australia and organisational standards and policies.

Comply with other relevant legislation including Workplace Health and Safety, Anti-discrimination.

Mandatory qualifications/Professional Registration and Other Requirements

For this role, you will need to provide evidence of:

Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)

Have your own car and a valid drivers’ licence.

NDIS Worker screening (this may be completed prior to appointment)

Police Check (this may be completed prior to appointment)

Professional indemnity insurance (this can be organised prior to commencement)

Working with Children Check (this may be completed prior to appointment)

Current First aid and CPR certificate (or a willingness to complete)

Provider number (or be eligible for a provider number)
