A fantastic permanent full-time opportunity has now become available for an experienced Safety Advisor.
As a Safety Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees under your jurisdiction (this safety appointment joins a well established National Safety Team).
The Role – Safety Advisor
You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards, promoting a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance across the workforce.
Key Duties
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
Create training programs to educate employees on safety protocols
Incident management and prevention
Conduct regular safety meetings and communicate any updates or changes
Reporting, system updates and compliance checks
Coordination of Return to Work (RTW) Programs
Travel at least 3 days per month to another remote location (approx. 4 hours drive one way with expenses covered).
The Successful Candidate
We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor who is highly motivated, proactive and committed to ensuring the safety of all employees across the manufacturing site.
In addition we require:
Tertiary qualification or relevant certifications in OHS
Previous experience within the rail, transport or logistics industry (highly desirable)
Strong level of computer literacy skills (CRMs and MS Office Suite)
Sound understanding of Australian workplace safety legislation and safety principles
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
Strong diligence and integrity especially around confidentiality
