Systems and Safety Advisor

• $120,000 - $135,000 + Car Allowance + Super, Systems and Safety Advisor for a leading construction company, multi-site role, Chatswood.
• Specialising in commercial, education, retirement and industrial construction projects.

About the Role

The Systems and Safety Advisor will play a key role in both the development and ongoing improvement of the organisation's WHS systems, while also providing hands-on support across active construction projects in NSW. This is a dual-focused role that balances strategic systems work with practical, site-based engagement. You'll be joining a well-established HSEQ team with decades of industry experience, contributing to the consistent rollout of the WHS strategy, helping to drive safety performance and compliance across multiple sites.

Duties

• Develop, maintain and improve WHS systems, including Procore and Hammertech.
• Keep up to date with WHS legislation, and project specific requirements, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure execution.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Create and deliver WHS training programs.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations and industry standards.
• Work closely with site managers, supervisors, and workers to promote and enforce safety policies.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain and update accreditations such as ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a similar role ideally within construction or related industries.
• CertIV in Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• Ideally experience with Procore, and/or Hammertech management systems.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, industry regulations, and risk management principles.
• Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationship at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
