A unique opportunity has arisen at Wicked Sister for an experienced individual who lives and breathes work health, safety and wellbeing, and is available to commence employment on a full-time (on-site) basis from mid-October 2025.
Reporting to the People & Culture Director, you will play a critical role driving a positive health safety and wellbeing culture across all Wicked Sister sites, to provide more than advice, but solutions and implementation of solutions. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to develop and implement work health, safety and wellbeing initiatives, conduct risk assessments, providing training on work, health and safety protocols, and monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Welcome to the People & Culture Team - the successful individual will join the growing People & Culture team and work closely with our manufacturing, supply Chain & support office teams to ensure collaborative implementation of practical solutions, as well as engaging work health and safety awareness, and fostering a positive work health and safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead innovative WHS and wellbeing initiatives that prioritize employee wellbeing and psychosocial safety
- Develop and implement health, safety, and wellbeing policies & procedures in line with regulatory requirements
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace
- Develop and deliver education & training programs on health, safety, and wellbeing protocols for all employees and contractors
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements
- Investigate incidents or accidents in the workplace
- Support the People & Culture Director with workers compensation workers compensation management, including return-to-work processes and supporting injured workers in their rehabilitation
- Collaborate with departments to develop strategies for improving employee work health, safety, and wellbeing
About You:
You are a passionate individual with a strong background in work health, safety and wellbeing within a manufacturing, industrial or supply chain/logistics environment, where you have primarily supported a front-line (operational) workforce in all things WHS, additionally we expect you to also possess the following key skills and experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Australian WHS legislation, interpretation, codes of practice, risk management principles and industry best practice
- Strong communication & influencing ability across all levels and with external vendors and other associated business partners or representatives
- Proven ability to advise and coach leaders in work health, safety and wellbeing legislation and practices
- Ability to analyse data and identify trends
- Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations and apply suitable actions post investigation to mitigate further risk or incident
- Experience in developing and implementing health, safety, and wellbeing programs for all employees at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualification in Work Health and Safety or related field
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience working in a similar role within the manufacturing, supply chain or similar industry
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting operational teams, preferably in an industrial, food manufacturing or similar environment(s)
- Previous experience in developing and implementing health, safety and wellbeing initiatives to reduce risk
- Demonstrated experience in workers compensation management, including return-to-work processes and supporting injured workers in their rehabilitation (current RTW accreditation is highly desirable)
- Experience with WHS planning & implementation of safety management systems within a brownfield environment is highly desirable
- Qualification in training and development is highly regarded
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WHS software
