Full Time Permanent Position

Salary Range: $105,380 - $117,233 plus 12% superannuation

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking professional to join the Business & Industry Development team as Coordinator Business Development. This key role contributes to the sustainable employment growth by supporting business growth opportunities within Latrobe City.

About the Role

In this role you will:

  • Drive the ongoing development and delivery of Latrobe City's Business Development Strategy using innovative and contemporary approaches.
  • Provide a leadership role, by coordinating the activities and resources of the Business Development team.
  • Implement programs, projects, partnerships and policy that will foster an environment that is conductive to business development and growth for the Latrobe City economy.
  • Establish and maintain effective strategic relationships with business and industry leaders, peak bodies, government entities, non-government organisations, and other stakeholders to achieve economic development outcomes.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business development, marketing, promotions or similar, with several years of experience or extensive senior-level experience in a related field with lesser formal qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies and processes to support the advancement of department priorities.
  • Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality community outcomes.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, incorporating a high level of verbal and written communication, problem solving and liaison.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and deliver key projects with varying stakeholders and competing priority needs.
