Love food, friendly faces, and fast-paced mornings? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and hands-on Kitchen Hand/Cook to join the vibrant team in our College Pantry! You’ll work alongside our fantastic Pantry Convenor and Chefs to keep things running smoothly - serving up great food and good vibes every day.

This role is Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 12:30pm, with some flexibility when needed - and best of all, no weekend work!

Duties include but are not limited to:

Provide food preparation and basic cooking under the direction of the Pantry Convenor and Pantry Chefs

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, benches, utensils, and equipment

Wash dishes and cooking equipment using appropriate methods

Carry out general Café duties including coffee preparation and service when required

Receive, unpack and store food deliveries in line with food safety standards

Undertake cash register operation at service times and ensure daily takings are collected and counted for banking

Step into the Chef’s role during periods of absence (planned or unplanned)

Minimum knowledge, abilities and skills are:

Minimum of one year's experience in a similar role

Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain

High standard of food hygiene and cleanliness

Competent food preparation and cooking skills for large numbers
