Maintenance Supervisor

Northern Areas Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as Maintenance Supervisor, based in Jamestown.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee and administer the delivery of a full range of operational maintenance works through team leaders, direct labour, and external contractors. Reporting directly to the Manager – Assets & Operations, you will play a key part in managing Council’s long-term asset maintenance priorities.

We are looking for someone who can:

Work collaboratively to drive a positive, respectful, customer-focused, and results-driven team environment.

Develop works programs that deliver cost-efficient, high-quality maintenance of Council assets, aligned with the Annual and Strategic Plans.

Communicate effectively and coordinate programs of work for the maintenance team, ensuring activities are carried out safely, on time, and within budget.

Demonstrate strong people skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and resolve issues relating to technical, professional, and community matters.
