The Role
This position works on high-profile projects seen by millions of users every year. Our projects help to engage users with the Memorial’s extensive collection, assist in remembrance, and educate about the Australian experience of war and its impact on Australian society. Our team consists of a variety of backgrounds and experience levels and includes content producers, designers and developers.
This position will initially be filled for 3 months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Core Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Digital Development Manager, and as key member of the Website Development Project team.
Conduct web-development work leveraging the Drupal CMS framework/ecosystem. Including module development, site-building, and configuration tasks, to support the establishment of new digital products.
Following established patterns set by the Digital Experience Development team - build upon existing related systems integrations to ensure functionality, long-term reliability, and to simplify the ongoing maintenance of digital products.
Contribute to Drupal-based theme development to ensure the front-end design of new digital products align with approved designs, the Memorial’s branding guidelines, and established industry standards.
Contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to help ensure the success of the Website Development Project. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to gather requirements and propose user-focussed solutions.
Position Eligibility
Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
All applicants external to AWM that are offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a National Police Check, even if they currently hold a security clearance. The check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.
