At Each, our vision is for a healthy and inclusive community where everyone belongs. If you're passionate about supporting children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families to access the right supports early, weâd love to hear from you.
Your role, your impact
As a Family Engagement and Assessment Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for families and carers entering the Early Childhood Approach. Your role is crucial in helping families feel heard, respected and informed about what to expect next.
Youâll provide a warm, professional, and timely response to all new enquiries, helping to screen, identify needs, and connect families with the appropriate services â including our Early Years Specialists and other community supports. Your work will help ensure that families understand their journey and feel supported every step of the way.
Your day to day will include
- Respond to new referrals within five business days and book appointments as needed.
- Identify the initial needs of children and families and prioritise referrals accordingly.
- Provide culturally safe, respectful, and trauma-informed interactions with families.
- Record interactions accurately in the NDIS PACE system and other business platforms.
- Empower families to make informed choices and understand next steps.
- Refer families to appropriate mainstream, community or specialised services.
Who weâre looking for
Youâre someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment and brings a strong understanding of child development, developmental delay, and disability. Youâre a confident communicator who can build rapport easily with families and colleagues alike. Youâll bring:
- Exceptional time management and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- High-level interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a calm approach under pressure.
- Advanced computer literacy and confidence with data entry.
- A passion for inclusion, equity, and human rights.
Your experience might include working in a similar intake or early intervention role, particularly within the health, disability, or community sectors. Lived experience of disability or as a carer is highly regarded.

- Tertiary qualification in education, social work, or other relevant discipline.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
