Excavator Operator

Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators with grabs, magnets or shears to load/unload, sort and process scrap metal

Ensure safe and efficient material handling within the yard and during loading of containers or trucks

Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance

Work closely with yard supervisors and weighbridge operators

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience operating excavators in a recycling or construction environment

Excavator ticket (RIIMPO320 or equivalent)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong commitment to safety, efficiency and cleanliness

Cable / Metal Shredder Operations

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor cable granulators and/or metal shredders

Feed machines with material and ensure proper throughput

Identify and sort materials for optimal output quality

Perform daily maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting

Keep accurate production and downtime records

Requirements:

Previous experience operating shredders, granulators, or other heavy machinery

Mechanically minded with problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes

Physically fit and reliable
