- Working Monday to Friday (6am – 2.30pm) with monthly rostered day off

An opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion for a Trade Assistant (Crane and Truck Driver) to join the marine workshop team. You will join a small team that safely, effectively and efficiently carries out maintenance of our Dredge, support craft fleet and other mechanical equipment. You will assist with workshop, site and vessel general maintenance including the operation of 20t Franna, forklift, light and medium rigid trucks.

- You’re an all-rounder Trade Assistant ideally from a mechanical background but we’re open to civil construction, mining or similar.
- You hold a Medium Rigid truck licence and ideally a non-slewing crane ticket or a willingness to obtain this ticket.
- You demonstrate a commitment to safety and are familiar with the safe usage of equipment.
- You’re driven to deliver results and take accountability for all assigned work.
- You’re keen to learn and develop and enjoy working within a small team environment.

You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid work permit or visa. You’ll also be required to complete pre-employment checks, including a national police check and a fitness for work assessment.
As there’s no public transport to our sites, you’ll need a valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
