Armstrong Flooring is looking for enthusiastic and positive commercial business partner/business analyst to join our Finance team.

About Us

Armstrong Flooring is one of Australia’s oldest and leading distributors of hard flooring and Australia’s only manufacturer of commercial vinyl flooring. Having recently been purchased by a well known Australian family, the business is now experiencing a period of rapid growth in the Australian and New Zealand markets in new flooring segments including carpet and carpet tiles. This has necessitated increased support and advice to the Sales, Marketing and Operations team, as data is being used to drive performance reporting, planning and analysis to improve and support decision making.

About the role

Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, the role shall involve:

Development of an understanding of the Armstrong Flooring business, working with managers to review analytics

Production and distribution of performance reporting and analysis

Improvement and automation of existing reporting and development of new reporting to provide timely and insightful information to management

Data mining and analysis

Building ad hoc report and analysis based on the needs of management

Provision of financial, strategic and project analysis to management

Introduction of reporting dashboards and performance reporting

Pro-active rationalisation of reporting and ad hoc requests

Key selection criteria:

Minimum 5 years relevant experience

Accounting qualification preferred but not essential

Strong analytic skills and knowledge

Able to communicate complex business data in a manner that is simple, structured, accurate and robust

Ability to drive efficiencies in reporting through automation

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, macros)

Experience with Microsoft D365 F&O or similar is desirable

The role will provide the opportunity to grow and take on varied responsibilities. You will enjoy problem solving. You must have strong interpersonal skills as you will be liaising with staff at all levels in the organisation

Remuneration package commensurate with experience and relevant qualifications. The roles entail onsite parking and good working conditions.
